At Redhead Community Preschool, we believe that a strong foundation begins with dedicated leadership and a passionate team. Our Preschool Management Committee plays a vital role in ensuring that our preschool remains a safe, nurturing, and inspiring place for your child to grow and learn.

What Does Our Management Committee Do?

The Preschool Management Committee comprises of parents whose children are currently enrolled at our preschool. The committee work together to oversee the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our preschool. Our management committee meets with our Director on the first Tuesday evening of each month. The Director provides a monthly report to the committee including areas such as: our services operations, staffing, the program, financial matters, policy development, child safety, event planning, and review of our Quality Improvement Plan. A new management committee is elected each year at our Annual General Meeting, which is held in March. Our families are welcome to be a part of the management committee.

Their key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining Safety and Compliance: The committee is responsible for ensuring our preschool meets all regulatory requirements and maintains the highest standards of safety and hygiene.

• Financial Oversight: Management of the preschool’s budget, ensuring resources are used effectively and to ensure that the preschool remains financially viable.

• Supporting Staff: The committee works to ensure ongoing professional development and training for our educators and support educators in their wellbeing.

• Fostering Community Engagement: By encouraging active participation from parents and local organizations, the committee builds a strong, supportive preschool community.
